Hey guys. This is a petition to help end horse slaughter...and I'm really passionate about horses, so I would really appreciate it if you would help out. You can sign your name as anonymous if you want, but I would really love it if you helped! <33 Thank you so much!

done :) even though horses scare the be-jesus out of me.
i enjoy using my elmers thanks.
um...that was really rude and offensive to me. clearly, you don't understand passion, and for that I pity you.
I'm passionate about my beliefs, that's why I mentioned mine. Don't get upset because someone has a different viewpoint than your own.
What are you talking about? Glue? You're passionate about glue? They don't even use horses in glue, they use cow feet.
I'm not an idiot read below, I am passionate about my anti-animal rights activism. People go too far for everyone's own good.

"You think you're saving the world by eating a tofu-burger and sticking to a diet of grains and berries? Well here's something that not many vegetarians know (or care to acknowledge): every year millions of animals are killed by wheat and soy bean combines during harvesting season (source). Oh yeah, go on and on for hours about how all of us meat eaters are going to hell for having a steak, but conveniently ignore the fact that each year millions of mice, rabbits, snakes, skunks, possums, squirrels, gophers and rats are ruthlessly murdered as a direct result of YOUR dieting habits. What's that? I'm sorry, I don't hear any more elitist banter from you pompous cocks. Could it be because your shit has been RUINED?"
"What does it mean to sponsor a vegetarian? It means that you have to find someone in your life who's a really big pain in everyone's ass every time you want to go out to eat, and then you commit yourself to eating THREE times the amount of meat you'd normally consume to make up for all the meat that your vegetarian buddy isn't eating. It's that simple!"

"It's mostly used as a figure of speech these days, but yes, horses typically were sent to the glue factory or rendering plant back in the days when they were mostly used as work animals. These days, it's more common (an undocumented source says 90% of all domestic horses) for unwanted horses to be sent to a slaughterhouse if still alive, or a rendering plant (AKA the knackers, the knackery) if deceased."
I'm not a vegetarian, and I love my beef as much as the next person, but all I am asking is to help end cruelty that is in slaughter. I understand if people want to eat horses or whatever, I'm not a raging animal rights activist like a lot of people that I know. Although I don't agree with your anti-animal rights attitude, I can see your point of view. I am asking that you see mine. I don't think you're an idiot either. All I ask you to do is to appologize for that unessecary offensive remark that you made.
"I'm not a vegetarian, and I love my beef as much as the next person, but all I am asking is to help end cruelty that is in slaughter."

That makes no sense what so ever. Petitions mean nothing. Petitions make people feel good like they are doing something when in reality nothing is accomplished except a waste of time. Cattle are slaughtered in greater abundance and in even crueler ways than horses, yet you support that. You are arguing against yourself.
to be honest I don't really feel an apology is needed as his initial remark was not that offensive. More stating his stance on the whole topic. It's promoted a discussion which is always a good thing :)
On further inspection I find that deadb0dyman has not applied or been accepted so he/she should not be posting *slaps deadb0dyman's wrists*.

But I qquite enjoyed reading this thread so I'll keep it up and not go wappy.

but it was offensive to me, and it is my personal opinion that a person should appologize when they have offended another. but this issue is dead, and i'm willing to let it go. :-)
i'm a vegetarian and i like it.
So you enjoy the fact that your diet kills more animals than it saves? And you also like the fact that I'm going to sponsor you and eat three times my daily intake of meat to offset you? =)
hey man, whatever makes you happy.

and tofu burgers are fucking gross.
elmers glue is vegan!
not the old school elmers.
hahaha nooooo the discussion stopped!

it's true though!

Who actually listens to petitions. Online petitions are even harder to take seriously. I can get a few thousand people to sign anything on the internet, it's not hard.

Vegetarians actually kill more animals than they save because when grains are harvested rabbits and other small animals are brutally torn assunder by the machines we use.

The bottom line is that no matter what people try to do to make the world a better place, it won't last long. The world is a dangerous violent place, and if we don't adapt and act accordingly...well...then it's just a matter of time...
